CommonSpirit Health (formerly CHI Memorial) and Cigna Healthcare have reached a new contract agreement. CommonSpirit hospitals will now remain in the Cigna LocalPlus and Open Access Plus networks.
The agreement date has been back-dated to February 1, 2026, so patients should experience no disruptions in coverage.

Cigna and Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Memorial Hospital — under Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health, formerly CHI Memorial — have not reached an agreement ahead of their February 1 contracting deadline. If an agreement is not reached, Memorial Hospital will be out-of-network for Cigna members beginning on that date.
